It’s official. The Monsanto Corporation is the “Most Evil Corporation” in the world according to a recently released poll and the The Light Brigade Network shined the same sentiment this week, in advance of yesterday’s global March Against Monsanto ”March For Food Freedom” day of action. The eight grassroots groups from around the country took out different LED illuminated messages to places of high visibility to raise awareness about the Saturday day of action against Monsanto.
The NYC Light Brigade arranged to message on top of Brooklyn Grange, the largest rooftop farm in the world, where they displayed several messages with a beautiful and sprawling New York City background.
The Fresno Light Brigade went out on multiple nights with different messages and locations, including a prominent location on the Fresno Fair concert stage for Llama Boy.
The south also got in on the messaging action, with several stunning messages including the creation of a brilliant LED bee that the North Texas Light Brigade (NTLB) in Dallas used to help shed light on the growing global bee die-off that has been connected to Monsanto products.
Since the Light Brigade Network had messages in the east, midwest, south, and west, then why not include the Hawaiian Islands, where the Occupy Hilo Light Brigade also took out a “BEE AKAMAI” message meaning “Bee Smart”.
Overpass Light Brigade – San Diego shined messages from the 6th Avenue Overpass over I-5 about Monsanto’s push of genetically modified food, despite it being banned in numerous countries around the world.
The Detroit Light Brigade held made this LED display.
Rockford was the final brigade to illuminate, with a defiant shine against the sale of genetically modified foods in the U.S. The Northern Illinois Light Brigade held this message in front of several high traffic intersections around the city.
